Hanukkah Day 1 5782/2021

Tonight is the First Night of Hanukkah, what John 10:22-24 calls the Feast of Dedication. As you light the first candle of the Menorah May you experience Yeshua, King Jesus Glory.

Day 1: As we light the first candle on the first night of Hanukkah we are reminded of Yeshua, King Jesus our servant who has come to seek and save the lost. On each night of Hanukkah, the shamash is lit first, and then the other candles are lit one by one. The shamash candle(“Christ our “servant”) is the light used to light the other branches. In John 8:12, Jesus said, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness but have the light of life.”

As we light the first candle of Hanukkah may we be reminded of the words of the prophet, Isaiah who wrote of Messiah, King Jesus, “The people who walked in darkness Have seen a great light; Those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, Upon them a light has shined.”(Isaiah 9:2) and in Matthew 4:16, “The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light, And upon those who sat in the region and shadow of death Light has dawned.”

May the Light of the Love of Jesus shine brightly, illuminating your heart, home, and family during Hanukkah, Christmas, and the rest of your life.
