God’s Got This Pandemic

As we enter in to Shabbat at Sundown today I’ve been thinking about the coming to an end of the last month of the Biblical Calendar, Adar. To see what it looked like in the Bible really is not much different than today. It was recorded by Moses in Exodus 12:12, The Israelites needed a redeemer and deliverer just like the world needs today. “‘For I will pass through the land of Egypt on that night, and will strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the Lord. Now the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.”

Numerically, the number 12 in Hebrew is very prophetic and I believe is significant for such a time as this. As we stand on the precipice of history with this Pandemic and ending the 12th month in the Biblical calendar next week on March 24th, I can’t help but think God’s Got This. We have a choice to stand in fear or stand in FAITH! Just because I’m standing in Faith and not in fear does not mean I am not going to use common sense and listen to the Holy Spirit to guide my daily activity.

The number twelve in Hebrew is the number of perfect Government. Twelve is the last of the four numbers God uses to show His perfection. It is the number that God shows He is in control and actively ruling over something as King. When God wants to show us He is ruling and there is a perfect plan. He likes to use the number 12 in his language. Thus I believe that this Pandemic will end at Passover.

It is impossible to separate those who govern from the governing of God. In another words every one who governs is governed by God. You see, God almighty is not just King but King of Kings. He is just not Lord but Lord of Lords. Revelation 16:19, “And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.”

Twelve marks when God is in control of something. In Matthew 26:53 when Peter took things in his own hand and cut off the soldiers ear, Jesus said, He had the power to call 12 legions of angels.

Here are examples of 12 in scripture: Jacob had twelve sons and Israel had twelve tribes. It is interesting to note that Jacob and Israel are the same person. One is born of man, Jacob and the other is born of God, Israel, and God governs both of them perfectly.

Jesus had 12 disciples and set up the church with 12 teachable and yieldable men who would drop their careers and family to come and follow Yeshua. That’s why the New Jerusalem has 12 gates and 12 foundations. There are also twelve pearls and 12 foundations associated with the New Jerusalem. The measure of the city is 12,000 furlongs and thickness of the walls are 144 cubits or 12 X 12.

The first recorded words of Jesus was at age 12.

There were 12 baskets of food left over when Jesus fed the 5000.

There were 12 spies sent out by Moses in Numbers 13

Elijah built an altar of 12 stones when he called the fire down from Heaven. 1 Kings 18

There are 12 Biblical months in a year because God rules over every year.

There are 12 major constellations because rules over all the heavens.

There are 60 minutes in an hour (12 X 5) and 60 seconds in a minute because God rules over every nano-moment that has ever been measured.

The number 24 (12 +12), There are 24 elders who circle around the Throne in Worship.

24,000 plus miles circle the the planet earth. Twenty four is a witness of God’s perfect Government. That is why the 24 elders fall down and worship him as they fly around the throne. Because they see him as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Twenty four is associated with the priesthood as David distributes the priest among 24 descendants of Aaron.

So if you have never believed God is in control and has a plan for this world, our Nation, your family and even your life tonight, I believe Adonai is in Control and Has Plan for You. In the midst of this chaos, panic, and hysteria, God’s Got this so let’s take time to Worship the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Shalom!
