Tonight at Sundown in the Biblical Calendar we just finished the 9th day of the Biblical month of Av. This has been a day for the Jewish people and those of us who follow our Jewish Roots of Christianity, a day of fasting. For this day has brought many tragedies and persecution to Israel. I’m asked by people, “why do you follow the Jewishness of our Savior and why do you practice the Jewish Feasts with it’s calendar?” Isn’t that old Testament? According to Genesis 1:14, “Then God said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years;”
The timing and the seasons of the Lord are to be for us “signs”. Many people are aware of the date of September 23rd in science and astronomy. This is the date that every 2000 years a Star better known as the Bethlehem Star shows up in the Heavens. It showed up in the year 0 AD when Yeshua was born. It showed up 2000 years earlier when God called Abraham to Father a nation and God changed his grandson, Jacob’s name to Israel. This same Star showed up again in the Heavens on September 23, 2015.
But what is even more interesting is the Star of Bethlehem stays in the heavens for two years. We know this by Matthew 2 where the three Wisemen go to Herod and ask, “Where is he is born the “King of the Jews?” Now Herod was called by all the Romans and Jews in Jerusalem, “The King of the Jews.” Herod inquires about the Star and by his inquiring has all the boys killed two years of age and younger. Thus, giving us the understanding the Star is in the heavens for two years every 2000 years.
So track forward with me to this September 23, 2017. This star is showing something very interesting. September 21-22 of this year is Rosh Hashanah, the Blowing of Trumpets. Yom Kippur is eight days later, September 30th. The Bethlehem Star points to a constellation called Virgo. Revelation 12 mentions this constellation. “Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars. 2 Then being with child, she cried out in labor and in pain to give birth”.
Virgo is a virgin and is great with child. According to verse, the virgin bears a man child that will rule his people. Jupiter is a planet of mystery. Because every 2000 years when Bethlehem Star appears, it goes in a circular motion as moving into the womb of virgo and birthing this man child. Revelation says she is clothed with the sun and the sun is placed at her shoulder and the moon is at her feet. The word of God also says, Her head is crowned with garland of twelve stars. to understand this, the constellation of Leo is sitting in the heavenlies at her head on September 23rd. Leo consist of 9 stars, so where are the other three stars. Get this, on September 23 the three planets of Mars, Venus, and Mercury line with Leo to make up the 12 Stars crowning Virgo’s head.
Okay what does this mean? What are you trying to say. If every 2000 years the Star of Bethlehem shows up and points to the constellation of Virgo and Leo which is mentioned in Revelation 12, and this same sign was in the Heavens with Abraham, the birth of Jesus, and this coming September 23. Then should we not be taking notice? God speaks through patterns and types all through out scripture.
Even more amazing, watch this. On August 21st of this year there is a total Eclipse that will span across diagonally the USA. Starting in the Northwest and going down to Southeast. But in Seven years it will happen again. Only this time spanning diagonally from the Northeast moving down to the Southwest. Making an “X” across the USA. In the Hebrew alphabet the letter TAV looks like and “X” and it means literally a “sign” or “Signal.”
Wow, (sorry this has been rather lengthy). So this is why I follow our Jewish Roots. How exciting to be living in a Season and Sign that the last time this happened was the birth of our Messiah, Yeshua. Lift up your heads for your redemption draws near!
