Tonight at Sundown begins the High and Holy Feast of Rosh Hashanah (Blowing of Trumpets.) Why is this so important for Christians? Isn’t that a Jewish tradition? No it is just not a Jewish Feast. In Exodus, Leviticus, and Deuteronomy, The Feast are Referred to as God’s appointed times and they are an everlasting memorial to God through out all generations. Have you ever slept through and alarm for a very important meeting? Or have you ever had a very important Doctors appointment that you made for weeks or months and missed the appointment. The blowing of Trumpets (Shofar) is an alarm to Return to God at His appointed Times, so God can work his purpose and plan for you. This time is significant because it is the ending of the Year of Jubilee. October 3 and 4 is the Birthday of the creation of heaven and earth in Genesis 1: 1-2. “In the Beginning God created the Heavens and the Earth.” The Hebrew word for Beginning is, “the birth of the world.” Tonight begins the Biblical year of 5777.
The second level of learning in Hebrew is based on the numbering of the Hebrew alphabet. Each letter has a corresponding number. The numbers make up word pictures. The number 5 represents grace and 7 is the number of completeness and perfection. This is the year God wants to complete His work in you. Starting tonight is the time to align yourself for breakthrough and harvest. This past year, 5776 has been such warfare for many…because the enemy sees the blessing about to come forward. In 2 Samuel the Philistines heard about David being anointed King and they began to attack him.
When the enemy comes against you, God promises he will, Like a Flood, raise up a standard against the attack and enemy. Every woman knows that before the break through of birth the water has to be break for the promise to come forth. This is the Season. God wants you to return to him and believe for the blessings promised in your generational family lines to come forth. As christians we have been taught and know well the weapons of warfare in overcoming the enemy. We have taught people to identify their strongholds and family weaknesses and curses. This year 5777 is year for you family blessings to come forth. Begin to declare the Family line blessings over your marriage, family, and life. This is the time to focus on Praise and Worship in Attracting the King of Kings. When a King is in the land, how is the King announced? The Blowing of Trumpets. Your praise will attract Yeshua to your house and family.
Another Significant thing about this Rosh Hashanah and the next ten days is a time of repentance and confession leading to Yom Kippur, October 12 (Day of Atonement.) During these ten days is called the Ten Days of Awe. Ten Days of making sure we have forgiven all our offenses and sins or trespasses against us. Remember in Matthew 18, when Peter ask Jesus how many times should you forgive your brother. In the culture of that day it was thought and taught by teachers, one should forgive 3 t0 5 times. But Jesus said in verse 22, “Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.”. It was thought to offer the grace of 5 times, but after 5 no more. Jesus abliterated this cultural teaching. He said, not 7, but seventy times 7. Wow, Don’t miss this. The numbers are very important for this Season in God’s timing and Biblical Calendar. We begin tonight the year in the Bible of 5777. Look at the numbers again or Matthew 18. Five is the number thought of grace. Jesus mentions three sevens in a row. Thus, we entering the year of Grace and Forgiveness. 5777! Shana Tova!!! (Happy New Year)
