We are just a few days away from the beginning of the Biblical month of Elul. Elul begins this coming Sunday, September 3rd. Elul is the last month of the Biblical Calendar which leads into Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur and Tabernacles. At Rosh Hashanah begins the New Year 5777 in the Jewish Calendar.
For the forty days from September 3rd to Yom Kippur, October 12th the Shofar is blown every day to sound the Alarm. This is important because the month of Elul is the month of Returning to God (Teshuvah). It is the month of preparation for the Appointed Time of Visitation called Feasts of Tabernacles. The blowing of the Shofar is and has a spiritual dimension. Waking Up those who hear for a Divine Appointment.
This year Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement) end the Year of Jubilee. On October 13th the year of Jubilee will end. The bible teaches us that the year following the year of Jubilee the world will change forever. That is why this time it has major significance. And at Rosh Hashanah is the Head of the Year, 5777. This year 5777 has major prophetic significance. It is going to be a year of Blessings! In the Bible every seven years God commands the seventh year to be a year of rest. No planting the ground. He promised that sixth year crops would be in such a blessing that it would sustain for the seventh and eighth years. The year 5777 is the eight year. Abundant blessings. How hard has this past year been for many. The year 5776 has been one of warfare and faith for many. The Hebrew number of three sevens in a row has a picture of being brought low to raise up. Jesus became low humbling himself to an earthly body, going to the cross, to be raised up. The number eight in Hebrew is New Beginnings thus this new year 5777 is one of being raised up and Blessings.
Also, it is a year to see your Family Line Blessings to come to fulfillment. For years many of us have heard and seen the about our Family Line Curses. We have taught how to break them off. But this new year is about seeing your Family Line Blessings come to Fruition. Some of the Blessings in my Family Line are: Worship, Teacher, Pastor, Business, Leadership, Prophetic, Order, and Discernment and Intuition.
As I blow the Shofar (Trumpet) starting this Sunday for 40 days in our home, I am preparing for the Divine Appointed Time of drawing near to God. Elul is also the story of the Book of Ruth when the King is in your Field. So there won’t be another season and appointed time like this for 50 years. Go warm up the lips to begin the Blowing of Your Trumpet!
