One of the curses that blocks blessing in our lives is found in the power of the tongue. Proverbs 18:21, “death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” The number one way a curse can come on your life and block your blessings is in the words you speak to yourself and others. Many times we curse ourselves by the words we speak. Words can release the promises of God, and words can block the promises of God. There is a creative force behind words that are spoken. Everyone of us is going to confess something today. Why not confess the good things in life? It’s time to realize the negatively we speak upon our lives. It’s time to change. It’s time to remove the curse and release the blessing. Whatever negative words you have said, whatever words have been spoken against you, you need the cancel the curse of negative words by speaking the promise of God’s positive words. Remember, life and death are in the power of the words. Words not only kill your destiny but cancel their promise and negate the promises of God. We must learn to break the habit of negative speaking, and begin to speak over yourself and family the blessings of God. Stop speaking about the problem and start confessing the promises. Pray this prayer: Father, I come before you right now in Jesus’ name, and declare that every curse that has come upon me and my family and my finances, in every way, by the words I have spoken, is broken and reversed in Jesus’ name from this moment on. And, Father, I speak that my family and I will serve God. That prosperity is mine. Salvation is mine. Deliverance is mine. Healing is mine, and I speak it into existence in Jesus’ name.
